Supplies Needed
Each student will need one pocketed folder and notebook paper that will be kept in the Ag classroom and used daily. Students also need a writing utensil (pen or pencil) everyday.
Student Expectations
1– Be on task & prepared to learn & participate EVERYDAY!
2– Be responsible for your own learning.
3– Respect the teacher, the classroom, & other students.
4– Clean up after yourself.
5– Do the right thing!
Grading
- 20 % SAE Journal
- 30 % Tests/Projects
- 50 % Classwork/Current Events/Participation
****SAE Journal
Each student is required to complete and record agriculture-related activities outside of the school day. This is called the Supervised Agricultural Experience or SAE. These activities must be documented on the SAE Record Book (given by Ms. Clark )**Detailed info will be given in class. This project is 20% of the student’s class grade.
Hour Requirements for each 6 weeks:12 hours
SAEs can be anything related to agriculture like the following examples:
- Job shadowing within an ag-related field
- Starting a garden at home or at school
- Woodworking or repairing equipment
- Raising or caring for livestock animals
- Landscaping around home or community
- Creating floral designs
- Community Service Projects
- Teaching younger students about ag
- Or other projects approved by Ms. Clark
