Welcome to the new school year!
Ninth grade Geometry is a Pre-AP course. It is designed for those students planning to take Calculus in high school. Geometry is very different from Algebra I. You will encounter a different type of thinking and problem solving. This type of reasoning is not developed overnight. It will take perseverance, patience, and effort. The key to success in Geometry is to work hard, do all of your homework, and to get help when you need it. Be patient. Effort is what makes the difference.
I graduated from Coe College in Iowa with a degree in Mathematics. I also did graduate work in engineering at UTA. I have been teaching for 33 years.
I have been at Martin since 1997, and I feel honored to be a Warrior!! I have wonderful husband and two children, a son who is a junior at Martin and a daughter who is a graduate of Seguin and works for IBM. I also have a wonderful son-in-law who is a band director and an adorable grandson.
