Students who have been absent for illness or any other reason are responsible for contacting the teacher about any make-up work they need. Students will have one class day for each missed and one additional class day to make up missed assignments. The additional class day accounts for the possibility that the student may not have a class scheduled at the CTC the following day after their absence. Example: If a student is absent on Monday, he/she will have until Wednesday to get their missing work and must have it turned in by Friday.

However, if you fall behind, you will be removed from working on the cosmetology client floor; no hands-on skill will be allowed until you have made up all written assignments.

Re-Take Policy:

Due to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation’s requirements for candidates to pass exams for licensing. The AISD Cosmetology Department will only allow one re-take of the Test for a grade change to depict mastery of the content accurately. Retakes must be taken the next class day.
