Interactive Notebooks: Students will be keeping interactive notebooks in the form of a composition notebook in this class. The purpose of the interactive notebook is to enable the student to be a creative, independent thinker and writer. These will be used for class notes as well as for other activities where students will be asked to express their own ideas and process the information in this class. The spiral becomes a portfolio of the student’s work, thoughts and beliefs. Students will also record daily class warm-ups in their notebooks. This notebook is different from traditional notebooks due to the fact that it provides activities of a variety of learning styles, intelligences, and tasks geared to how our brains work best. The notebooks will be provided by Ms. Howe and will be left in the classroom. These will also be checked for 2 quiz grades each 6 weeks grading period.

Late Work: Daily work and major grades will be taken for 10 points off for each day after the deadline. Late work will not be taken on major grades after 5 days.

Retake policy: The Ag Science department will not allow retakes on any assignments or examinations. Students are expected to appropriately prepare for assessments and complete assignments per class requirements the first time.
