I'm so glad you're here!

All about Mrs. Acrea

• Born and raised in northeast Pennsylvania
• Graduated from King's College in PA and earned Bachelor of Art degrees in both French & History
• Taught middle & high school French in New Jersey for 14 years
• Moved to Texas in 2018
• Taught third grade science & math last year at Grapevine-Colleyville ISD
• I'm a 2019-2020 member of the Perot Museum's Teacher STEM Institute and attended ASM Materials Science Teacher Camp in San Antonio this summer
• Bought a home here in Arlington with my husband, Jake,  last October
• We have 2 dogs, Tater and Mater, a Goffin's cockatoo named Elvis (Elvy), and three cockatiels, Snowball, Calla, and Violet.
• I love nature and stargazing and go camping every chance I get. I camped at Acadia National Park in Maine a few years ago and was able to see the Milky Way with my naked eye!
• I'm an avid traveler and have been to France (more than 20 times), Italy, Canada, Costa Rica, several Caribbean Islands, and Australia.
• I've been a New York Mets & Dallas Cowboys fan since my childhood (even in PA!)
• I love bowling, basketball, fishing, MAC cosmetics, & baking.
