Guidance and Counseling
Real Talk, our virtual event series for Black students and their parents, is back! We’re kicking off the season with two nights to help students decide whether an HBCU (Historically Black College and University) or PWI (Predominantly White Institution) is right for them. Encourage Black students and their families in your school community to attend both Real Talk events on October 3 and 10 to compare their options and make the best college choices for them. These events are the perfect opportunity for students to interact directly with admissions reps and current college students! 🎓 |
📌 Night 1: Tuesday, October 3, 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT HBCUs, PWIs, and You: Join us and connect directly with HBCU and PWI reps from across the country as they share real talk on selecting a college home that aligns with each student’s personality and college and career aspirations. 📌 Night 2: Tuesday, October 10, 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT The Real Tea on HBCUs and PWIs: Want to know what college life is really like at HBCUs and PWIs? Students and their families can connect with current Black students who’ll spill the tea! Don't just hear it—experience it through their stories. |

When can students visit their guidance counselor?
Because we are under extraordinary circumstances due to COVID-19, we have had to make safety adjustments regarding when you can see your counselor. Students will be able to see their counselor only through appointments. If you feel that you have a pressing need to see your counselor, please click the link below and fill out the form. Your counselor will connect with you through an email, a phone call, or will send for you during the school day if you have chosen in-person learning.
